Are you an enthusiastic self-starter with at least one year of marketing experience, eager to jump in, get your hands dirty, and get things done? Do you have a knack for writing engaging, customer-centric copy that converts? Are you excited to become an email whisperer who educates, nurtures, and inspires our HR audience with impactful copywriting?

AIHR is looking for a Junior Copywriter. This role is an excellent opportunity for you to learn from top content marketers, hone your marketing skills in an exciting, fast-growing scale-up, and help us empower and upskill 100,000 HR professionals through innovation and online education.

About AIHR

Founded in 2016 with the mission to future-proof HR, the Academy to Innovate HR (AIHR) has become the world’s market leader in online training for human resources professionals. We have a global customer base spread across 140+ countries, amongst which are companies like Unilever, Reckitt, Goldman Sachs, Philips, Deloitte, Nike, Heineken, and UBS. It is our goal to continuously educate 100,000 HR Professionals by the year 2025.

We are an international team of 80+ people, driven by excellence, innovation, and a hunger to grow in everything we do. As such, we strive to provide the world’s best courses and excellent support to our customers while continuously optimizing every aspect of our work. With over 30 nationalities, our team is diverse, yet we all share a few traits: we're friendly, enthusiastic, and great team players.

AIHR is one of the fastest-growing companies in Europe, so working at AIHR means taking on a lot of responsibility and getting countless opportunities to develop yourself in new areas and craft your own role.

Role and Responsibilities

As a Junior Copywriter, you will be part of the Content Marketing team, which consists of three Content Marketers and a Junior Video Editor. You will be reporting to the Head of Content Marketing, Kym. In your role, you will support the Content Marketing team with content creation and content management and work closely with our lifecycle marketer, Dennis. In particular, you will be responsible for email copywriting and short-form content and copy for different channels

Your weekly responsibilities will include:

  • Creating and sending our weekly blog newsletter;
  • Creating and sending all the emails to our Academy members;
  • Creating and sending other types of emails, such as commercial email campaigns and educational nurture flows;
  • Weekly reporting of critical metrics from ongoing activities for performance optimization;
  • Identifying email test opportunities and running experiments to improve effectiveness;
  • Writing video descriptions for YouTube and Vimeo;
  • Maintaining our website and marketing collateral up to date;
  • Sourcing and publishing testimonials and success stories, conducting occasional customer interviews.

Depending on your interests and aptitude, your role could expand into different projects that go beyond copywriting, such as video scripts, blog articles, web content, downloadable guides, or sales collateral.

You’ll be involved in both planning and execution and have the opportunity to learn content best practices for different channels, gain marketing knowledge, and gain an understanding of how content integrates into the function to create cohesive and compelling customer experiences.

You can unlock limitless opportunities at AIHR through proactive learning and a dedication to excellence. Your potential knows no limits—you have the autonomy to seize as much responsibility as you desire. Keep in mind we uphold high standards and operate at a rapid pace, empowering you to thrive and evolve alongside us.

On a typical day

You start your day by grabbing a coffee and reviewing the performance of last week’s B2C email newsletter. You see the CTA button text yielded some interesting results and you’re keen to apply the new learnings as you start writing this week’s content. Our newsletter goes out to about 50,000 HR professionals, so it should be flawless and engaging! Our latest SEO article is prominently featured, so we can build more traction and get it to number 1 on Google ASAP. You tag your colleague for feedback, excited to get input on your latest content.

Next, you jump into the member marketing email campaign. We are working on a hypothesis that members will engage more often with our platform features if they are served highly targeted content. There’s a new resource that’s perfect for members who are enrolled in the Human Resources Business Partner certificate program, and this is a great opportunity to test this theory.

Before you know it, it's lunchtime. You join your colleagues in the office lounge, where you enjoy a fresh, healthy, free meal prepared by our chef Rik. After catching up with coworkers from other departments, you focus on a new video description for our latest HR podcast. We are a popular brand in the HR community, and you want to translate the traffic to our YouTube videos into visitors. You worked with our SEO expert to identify new keywords that you think will capture searches on YouTube and want to try a new CTA and see how it converts.

Before the end of the day, you meet with Dennis, our Sr. Lifecycle Marketer, and your manager, Kym, to discuss your proposal for next quarter’s calendar for member marketing emails. You’ve reviewed all the data and found some interesting patterns, so you’re excited to propose new experiments to them in addition to the established formats.

It’s finally time to close your laptop, happy with a creative and productive day. Since it’s Friday, you’ve decided to stay for the after-work social to enjoy food and drinks with the diverse group of friends you’ve made across the company. This week’s event is a pub quiz, followed by fun games and chit-chat in the office lounge.

Who you are

You’re a highly motivated individual passionate about understanding your audience and crafting impactful content that drives results. You’re creative, collaborative, self-organized, and proactive with a can-do attitude. You prioritize well and execute on a deadline. And you pride yourself on your attention to detail and the quality of your work.

You’re enthusiastic and looking for an opportunity to learn, grow, and take on new challenges in a dynamic, fast-growing scale-up. You embrace responsibility and excel at delivering quality results, showcasing your ability to get things done effectively. When there’s something you don’t know, you’re not afraid to seek the answers or ask for help.

You love getting hands-on, experimenting, and measuring, and you want to understand how to translate data into content ideas and plans.

You have:
